Directions to the Farmington Valley Arts Center Studios, Galleries and Administrative Offices
From the East and from Hartford:
Option 1:
- I-84 West to Exit 39 for Rt. 4 West
- Continue straight on Rt. 4 for 1 mile
- Turn right onto Rt. 10 North
- Go about 6 miles to Rt. 44
- Turn left onto Rt. 44 West
- Go 1 mile and turn right into Avon Park North (first light after intersection of Rt. 10/ 202 N
- Watch for brown "Farmington Valley Arts Center" sign
- Travel .2 miles on left into Arts Center Lane
- The Fisher Gallery and Administrative offices are in Building 25
- The Artist Studios and Visitors' Gallery are in Building 27
Option 2:
- Go west on Albany Avenue, Rt. 44
- Pass through Hartford and West Hartford
- Continue over Avon Mountain
- At the bottom of Avon Mountain in Avon continue 1 mile and turn right into Avon Park North (first light after intersection of Rt. 10/ 202 N
- Watch for brown "Farmington Valley Arts Center" sign
- Travel .2 miles on left into Arts Center Lane
- The Fisher Gallery and administrative offices are in Building 25
- The Artist Studios and Visitors' Gallery are in Building 27
From the West (Torrington, Canton, etc.):
- Follow Rt. 44 East toward Avon/ Hartford
- After the town of Canton, you will come to an intersection at a traffic light for Rt. 167 in Simsbury. (Staples is on your right)
- From this intersection, continue on Rt. 44 for 1.8 miles
- You will pass through 6 additional traffic lights (not including the one on Rt. 167)
- At the 7th light, turn left into Avon Park North (watch for brown "Farmington Valley Arts Center" sign)
- Travel .2 miles to left into Arts Center Lane
- The Fisher Gallery and administrative offices are in Building 25
- The Visitors' Gallery and Artist Studios are in Building 27
From the North (Simsbury, Granby):
- Follow Rt. 10 South to Avon
- Turn right onto Rt. 44 West
- Turn right at the first traffic light into Avon Park North (watch for brown "Farmington Valley Arts Center" sign)
- Travel .2 miles to left onto Arts Center Lane
- The Fisher Gallery and administrative offices are in Building 25
- The Visitors' Gallery and Artist Studios are in Building 27
From the South (Farmington):
- From I-84 take 39 to Rt. 4 West in Farmington
- Continue straight on Rt. 4 for about 1 mile to Rt. 10 North
- Turn right onto Rt. 10 North
- Go about 6 miles to Rt. 44
- Turn left onto Rt. 44 West
- Go 1 mile and turn right into Avon Park North (first light after intersection of Rt. 10 /202 N)
- Watch for brown "Farmington Valley Arts Center" sign
- Travel .2 miles on left into Arts Center Lane
